TONYA C. PETERMANN, Esq.
Tonya C. Petermann was born and raised in Fort Walton Beach, Florida and returned home to practice law serving Okaloosa, Walton and Santa Rosa Counties. Ms. Petermann resides in Destin, Florida with her two children and four dogs. In her spare time, Ms. Petermann enjoys spending time with her family, all outdoor activities involving the beach or the beautiful waters of the Emerald Coast Gulf of Mexico, and traveling.

Tonya C. Petermann graduated with her B.S. in 1990 from the University of West Florida summa cum laude. Ms. Petermann received her Juris Doctorate from Cumberland School of Law in 1993. She is a member of the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar, a member of the Florida Trial Lawyers Association, and has been voted 10 Best Female Attorneys in Client Satisfaction by the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys.

Tonya C. Petermann is a Board Certified Marital and Family attorney and has practiced exclusively in the area of marital and family law since 1993. Ms. Petermann has been Board Certified in Marital and Family Law since 2002. A lawyer who is Board Certified by The Florida Bar has demonstrated ability and experience in his or her field of practice and has earned a reputation for professionalism within the legal community. To become a certified specialist (i.e, an expert) in family law, a lawyer must demonstrate substantial experience in the area of family law, be favorably evaluated as to ability and experience in the area of family law by judges and other lawyers, and exhibit outstanding character, ethics, and a reputation for professionalism. Ms. Petermann is currently one of only two Marital and Family Law Board Certified attorneys practicing in the area.

Ms. Petermann handles all aspects of family law no matter how complex including, but not limited to, divorce, paternity, child custody and visitation, modifications of prior orders, child relocation, property division, alimony, prenuptial agreements, attorney’s fees, issues concerning military retirement division, as well as enforcement of prior court orders. Ms. Petermann vigorously represents her clients, both inside and outside the courtroom, in hearings, trials, mediations, and settlement conferences.

STEPHANIE GREAVES, Esq.
Stephanie N. Greaves was born in Santa Maria, California. Ms. Greaves was raised and grew up in an Air Force family. Growing up in a military family provided Ms. Greaves with the realistic knowledge of what military families face every day, and further gave Ms. Greaves the insight needed to handle military divorces and other military marital and family law issues.

Ms. Greaves attended Florida State University earning a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and English, and a Minor in Spanish. Ms. Greaves graduated from Florida State University in 2011 with Magna Cum Laude honors.

Ms. Greaves attended Florida State University College of Law, receiving a full academic scholarship due to her academics and high credentials. She focused her studies on the areas of marital and family law and juvenile law, working and interning with private law firms in the local area. Ms. Greaves became a Florida Supreme Court Certified Legal Intern where she regularly handled and litigated numerous marital and family law cases at the college's Public Interest Law Center. She also served as a Certified Legal Intern within the juvenile division at the State Attorney's Office, Second Judicial Circuit, handling and litigating numerous juvenile delinquency cases on a daily basis. Ms. Greaves worked with the Tallahassee Bar Association Legal Aid Foundation, where she became the Director of the Family Law Pro Se Program. In addition, Ms. Greaves interned with an Okaloosa County, Florida, Circuit Judge, and other local family law firms in Okaloosa County, Florida, further expanding and enhancing Ms. Greaves’ knowledge and experience in marital and family law and dependency matters. In 2014, Ms. Greaves was awarded with a Distinguished Pro Bono Service Award from the Florida State University College of Law, wherein she was recognized for her strong commitment to providing pro bono services to those unable to afford legal services.

In 2014, Ms. Greaves joined the Law Firm of Tonya C. Petermann, P.A. as an Associate Attorney. She moved to Niceville, Florida where she now calls home. In her free time, she enjoys going to the beach, snorkeling, and traveling.

In 2016 and 2017, Ms. Greaves was awarded the 10 Best Attorney (Florida) for Client Satisfaction by the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys, wherein she was recognized for providing exceptional and outstanding client service.

Angela lives and is from Niceville, Florida. She is married to a United States Air Force Veteran and is the proud mother of two children. Angela has been a legal assistant/paralegal in the area of marital and family law since 1997. Angela is the legal assistant/paralegal to Tonya. C. Petermann. In her free time, Angela enjoys going to the beach, spending quality time with her family, and attending baton twirling competitions around the state and country with her daughter.

SHEENA POWELL, Legal Assistant
Sheena is from Crestview, Florida. She graduated from Northwest Florida State College in 2006 with an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice and graduated from the University of West Florida in 2008 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice. Sheena has been a legal assistant/paralegal since 2009 in the areas of estate planning, Medicaid planning, elder law, criminal law, and family law. In 2017, Sheena joined the law firm of Tonya C. Petermann, P.A. as paralegal to Stephanie N. Greaves, Esq. In her free time, Sheena enjoys traveling, going to the beach with friends, and hanging out with her loveable dogs.
